World Class Maintenance (WCM) and Tilburg University hosted the Spring Servitization conference on May 13thand 14th. On the evening of the 13th both Bart Schoonderwoerd (Technische Unie) and Paul Enders (ASML) joined a round table discussion on the links between servitization and CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive). Perspectives from various countries and industries were shared. A key insight revolved around the incentive of financial firms to drive a shift towards servitization to enable the mitigation of future emissions from assets financed today.

On May 14th the conference continued with various academic presentations. During the afternoon, Dennis de Lang, from ASML, shared the ASML perspective on services provided to ASML’s customers to maximize the value that customers derive from ASML’s lithography tools. Close collaboration with customers and understanding their real needs are key to defining the right service and upgrade offerings
