Stichting Service Logistics Forum
info@servicelogisticsforum.nlSLF organizes in cooperations with Conas and GS1 a webinar about the importance of data standards when implementing new technologies in service logistics..
Date: 16 februari
Time: 15.00 - 16.00
Location: Online
Theme: New technologies in Service Logistics require new data standards
Language: English
Looking back in history, new technologies required new data standards. A good example is the introduction of the railways 140 years ago which forced cities to convert their own standard of time and to adhere to a global standard. When you implement new technologies in service logistics (like predictive maintenance, smart assets, virtual / augmented reality, spare part control towers) it is important to understand how these new technologies have different requirements regarding data-standards, -definitions and -quality. Robert van der Holst and Samarth Sakharkar of Conas and Jaco Voorspuij of GS1 will discuss real life examples and also show real life solutions. In this webinar they will explain the combined use of the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) and the Global Individual Asset Identifier (GIAI) in service logistics and maintenance.
